Here's an interesting item on Hobby People's website! It's listed as using a Cobalt 400. It's "on order", meaning I suppose it's not released yet. They also mention a Cessna 165 Airmaster, but with no picture. Anybody have more info?

The wing has miniscule dihedral, so I'm guessing it has ailerons. It begs for an Outrunner Brushless to sit in that radial cowling...

Looks good I just wish that they did not make you buy it with their sub par cobalt motor.

I hate to pay for stuff in a kit that I will not use.

There's also an ad for a Cessna 165 Airmaster, using a 370 motor, no picture posted yet. Can anyone state the difference between the 165 and the 195? They look real similar in photos...

The c-165 was of tube and fabric construction and used a Warner scarab 7 cylinder of 145 hp. Although the basic planform was the same, the Cessna 195 use a Jacobs engine up to 300 hp and was of all aluminum construction. The 195 was the last in the line that started with the c-34 then went to the c-37, c-38, c-145, c-165, c-190 and then the 195. It had room for 5 people, where the tube a fabric versions were a snug fit for 4.

FYI, Hobby People now lists this plane as "in stock" on their website....

i have one sitting at home, it is the same series as the pt17 and pitts.
it is quite heavy for its size like the others.
but is a great looking kit.

Hi all, have just bought one and am halfway thru building her.Good quality,well made,very easy to put together, and easssy on the eyes.Flying her may be a different matter Will post info after maiden.

Ozace, where and how much in oz for the 195? When I first saw this model I didn't think much of it until I saw a view that showed the wing profile, beautifil!

any hobby store can get them from model engines (hitec and os)
aud $190 pitts and stearman also available.

I have seen teh Cessna 165 in the LHS. It features a 370 type motor. Wingspan is 30.5". Is this the same size as the Cessna 195? What is the WS?

Cessna 195 specs w/s 35in wing area 240sq. in. length 27.75in
weight 28oz! loading 17oz. A little larger than the 165.They both look like nice models.

Hi Yogorilla, they are available from Modelflight here in Adelaide,cost was $189. All you need extra is a 7x4 APC prop, and electronics.

I have purchased the Stearman. Traded the Cobalt motor for a brushless and 2s2p lipol batt. Nearly finished and will keep you posted

Which motor ?
a mate flew the stearman with a little mega 16/15/6 on a 3s2p pack

nice, until the pack had a problem and the whole lot went up in a ball of flames
