2600mah @ 8-10C 15C burst. Sounds pretty good. Lithium technology seems to be making leaps and bounds..everytime I turn around I find a new cell with higher Mah and higher C rate.

I know I keep promising more graphs. We will do our best to provide all the data. We are busy trying to fill orders at the moment. I will do my best to get at least 8C discharge of the cells this week.

thanks,

Mike

probably bigger cells in the spring. I keep asking. It's not an issue of being possible. It is. So it is coming

Yeah, make them do it NOW! Tell them you will never buy another if they don't.

Can I get a discount on my order? 14 2600's is gonna cost a little coin..

Plus I can show some boat guys what they can do and bring your more business!

It works out great!!!!

What is the best way to build your own lipoly battery packs. Are they more difficult to make then regular cells? If this is my first introduction into Lipoly would you recommend building or buying a pre-made.

The only reason I don't order more IRates right now is because I am waiting for the larger cells!
Mike, any idea what size they will be? 5Ah would be perfect, but 4Ah to 6Ah will do.
I hope bigger cells come with MUCH bigger tabs.

Building lipo packs is not rocket science. but doing it well will take some time and practice. If you enjoy building your own packs then building a lipo pack should not be too difficult. The concept is the same as building any pack. The only difficulty is the soldering to the aluminum tab. You can use special solder/flux combinations to make this easier. Taking your time is the best way to go about it.

If that seems like a lot of work then getting them prebiult is the way to go. You will pay a premium to have prebuild packs no matter who/where you get them from.

I have not used flux before. What is the proper use of it?

Thanks,
Kenny

Someone who hasn't used flux before may not have much soldering experience of any kind. JJ Hong reported that when his Kokam engineers examined Li-poly pack failures, they found that improper tab solder connections were one of the leading causes. Li-poly pack failures can be expensive and dangerous. Anyone without a fair amount of previous soldering experience should think carefully about whether they are prepared to take the risk of learning on cells that are not forgiving of errors.
