A beautiful Day!

What a great day of flying.
Neil, Don, and Chuck from Graves joined Richard & I for some fun flying this morning.
I flew the big Tiger Moth for the first time with the AXI 2820.
Plenty of power. I just need to add a little more down thrust.
Which is going to be a problem as the motor mount split when the plane flipped over after landing in the soft sand. No damage to the plane though.
Richard flew his yellow zero. It has more than enough power and really looked good as it went by low & slow. Unfortunately my camera batteries died after the second picture.

Funtana

Richard made me buy this.
I just ordered the longer custom composite landing gear from fiber-lite.com. so the 18 inch prop will clear. This going to be fun.
This is a very nice plane for the money.

RCOrlando you asked about the Corsair on the V7 thread.........

I really like this bird. I'm still a little wobbly at the knees but I'm getting into a confort zone. It flys great and track nice and level. The MP Jet brushless really sounds cool.

I had a blast with it today. I don't have Lipo's yet but I am having fun with my exsisting set of Nimh's.

One thing interesting today was that on one flight with my AAA 8.4v 730 mAH batteries I had an unusual cut-off. I was flying normal paterns and figure eights and on one passby I decided to open up full throttle. I was sitting just past half-throttle and gave a quick burst to full throttle and at that exact moment the motor cut-off. Chuck and I theorized that the draw at that point lowered the volts pass the bottom threshold and the ESC, correctly, cut the motor off. I was just passed the runway and I didn't have enough altitude to come around so I ditched into the tall weeds (no damage, thank goodness).

Jim,

I sent you a couple of PMs about the covering iron. Hadn't heard back, so I just wanted to make sure you got them.

The original setup is going to be stuff I already have: the AXI430/20; 20-cell RC2400s; APC-E 18x10.
Enough to get me started. I ain't exactly in a hurry to do 3D yet, but I am ready for a bigger Aerobatic. The Eagle has really got me wanting more.
Later I would like to upgrade Hacker C50L & Thunder Power 2100 5S4P.

What a day!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to MOON PORT MODELERS and got there at 7:35AM and got up in the air 5 minutes later! Left MOON PORT at high Noon due to high winds coming from the South-South East

Flew all my models countless times! It was dead calm up until Noon! Everyone was really nice as always!

Came by HOME DEPOT at 1:20PM and began to fly 15 minutes later and left at 6:20PM!

Flew all my models countless times at HOME DEPOT as well!

Lots on onlookers and visitors.

I have some pictures of Earl flying his GAS SUCOI sport model at HOME DEPOT.....STAY TURNED!
