Parkzone P47 Rocketship

E-Flight Power 25 1250kv with a Hobby Lobby eRC 65amp SBEC. I am using the stock 9.5x7.5 prop, and a 3S 2200 30C battery. Total blast!

Parkzone P-47 Mod (1 min 18 sec)

Have you tried your setup with the extra300 10.5x9?
Just installed a 60 in it..waiting for the power 25.
What kind of flight times are you getting?

I have not. This video was taken using the stock 9.5x7.5 prop. I am very new to the hobby, and afraid to push the engine. I actually own the extra300 prop. Do you think it will be okay with this motor if I only use 3S batteries? I don't own a watt meter either.

The reason I had to swap the motor out in the first place is because I fried the stock motor with the extra300 prop and a 4S battery. Came to a screeching halt in mid flight and locked up. Luckily I was able to put her down in a soft field.

To be honest I don't know for sure, but I'll find out lol. Says the prop range on 3s goes to 10x10, so it will be close. I believe the x300 prop is 10.5x9.
I don't have a watt meter myself, otherwise Id try it out on there first.
What kind of flight times are you getting out of the stock prop?

I set my timer for 6 minutes then land, so around 7 minutes. When recharging, I am putting 1000mah back into the spent batteries. I'm a bit conservative because i've heard stories of batteries getting burned out due to extended flight times. I don't mind the 6-7 min flight times since I have a box full of batteries

Seems plenty fast with the stock prop! How's the vertical?

Vertical is straight up, no issue there.

And thanks for planting the seed in my head about the Extra 300 prop! Now I have to try it

Guess I'm going to have to invest in a watt meter if I'm going to be doing this much experimenting.

Just so that I'm not misleading......vertically it will climb right up out of the sky. I don't mean vertical as in hovering 3D

Are you using the stock plastic motor mount?
Was noticing there are aluminum mounts out there for it..but not sure if its necessary.

Yes, stock plastic motor mount. The E-Flight Power motor was an exact fit.

Realistically I should have waited to capture this video. I just ran a 4s battery with the same setup and it blows the performance in this video away!
