The Official Soholingo flight test comparison thread.

Let's at least TRY and keep this one from going astray. I think there is enough interest in the comparison of the MiniGraphite, Omega and Hoot to warrant this new thread, just remember we have not had good flying wx for a week and this upcoming week looks even worse.

Damn. Now your avatar just looks like you're all sad & stuff.

I know you're just pullin' our chain. C'mon now...we know there's probably a myster 4th and possibly 5th plane you're going to add into your comparison, right? Have Aobid show up to help you crash...uhh....fly them for side by side comparison's sake.

I am going to finish the the mounting of the tail section this evening... on the MG. Then its just a matter of wiring up the motor, cone, etc....

I will just finish the comparisons in the MG thread... Today would be great to fly, I just need to go to work...

Did I miss a post somewhere?

Soho is selling the Hoot (see here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...hreadid=190818) and I didn't see a flight report/comparison.

Did I miss something?

Less than 10 days between postings and the Hoot has already stress cracks? After how many flights?
Perhaps the Lift off xs wouldn't have been so bad after all. Jürgen

I knew that would get your attention. How many flights did it take?

Just where do these "stress" cracks come from? Hanger rash, hard landings, or just hard flying?

The fuse on my Filip looks 100% new and that is after a whole season of hard flying. Just what is a "normal" stress crack?

I have some stress cracks in my bandit Fuze... This after several seasons of hard flying... Maybe we also need to define "hard flying"???

'normal stress' crack to me is the cracks that appear behind the wing saddle. The stress cracks are there because of the fields I have to fly in. My field has appears to be a smoothe field, but there are ruts everywhere...

For instance, when I land I land on the side of a hill. No big deal, I have to have the left wing tip drop a bit so that I am parallel to the side of the hill. But with every third landint or so, I will hit an unseen rut. Or the prop will drop and dig, and pivot.

This never happens at curb busters, casa, or the sod farm, where I have had much harder landings but the surface is flat.

Approximately 6 -7 flights... 2-3 rut landings...

Well "some" stress cracks in a bandit that has several seasons of egg beaters and Velcro assisted braking is understandable. What about stress cracks in a new plane? That does not sound right to me.
