Is it possible to lose weight?
I've been adding some 'things' to the fuselage (Landing Gear block + wing fairings), giving this bird two-three coats of Eze-Kote mixed with Microballoons and decided to weigh it again....drum roll please total weight 36.2 oz or 1025g.
Hummm, even added 7 blind nuts and a shelf for the tank; and sprayed some primer on the wing tips. Hummm, it has now lost weight! 15 grams or .5 oz -HOW'D THAT HAPPEN?
So I went back and reweighed everything just like the picture below with the wing on/ailerons on and the tail feathers - EVERYTHING and yep, 36.2 oz again Maybe I have been sanding more than I thought but I'm a happy camper. Now to start gluing the tail feathers on and commence painting.
I think it is beginning to look like an airplane <g>.

I also kept tract of the ele/ail/rud/vertical stab independently. They all together weighed 95g; one coat of Eze-Kote was 100g; after glassing/sanding 145g and now after a couple more coats w/ MicroBalloons weigh 150g; so THEY gain weight
All in all I'm impressed with this Eze-Kote stuff; it is just a bit 'Spendy' as they say in Minnesota ($20 for 500ml bottle).
