i recommend showing a video which displays a spotless car, then driven in a dust bowl, then zoom in and open the zipper to show a clean area. just saying... your snowy traxxas vid hardly shows dust protection.

Looks like marketing to me. If air can get in, so can dust particles. Unless this is a high-grade filter, in which case it'll be restricting air flow. Sure, it'll protect from larger particles, but the stuff that really wears out components is the really fine grit.

I think there's a large enough surface area to let airflow in, even when its covered with dirt.
And yes, I would say its obvious that it will let particles through that are finer than the mesh, but still keep your gear cleaner than not using one at all.

I think its an innovative idea that takes the inner lexan dust shield a step further by introducing the cooling aspect. well done IMO.

Hey guys I own one for my E-Revo I do have telemetries on it to watch motor and esc temp, I didn't see a difference in temp, and yes Znybar and webdr you are right the really fine dust does somewhat get in still, but it prevents a lot of the dirt I run in from getting in. It has really cut down on cleaning time I use to spend anywhere from 20-30 mins cleaning it, to 5-10 mins I'm really happy with the product in my opinion.
