Nothing like a heli flying 3D in the middle of the runway. They are nearly as bad as those flying wings.

I kept thinking "BAIL OUT!... BAIL OUT!"....then I realized it may have been a kamikaze pilot.......just kidding.

IMO, it appears the heli was at fault despite the YT comments about the zeke crossing the runway and the frame count stuff.

Looks like the heli came up right into the flight path to me.

It was a beauty of a zeke though.

Yep, he did, quite clearly at 1:09 in the video, about 15 seconds before the impact. Seems that the heli flyer either didn't hear or ignored it.

They just need Jim Bourke to do one of his one-wing landings.

First the pilot says, "Low Pass." Then someone else says something like, "He's doing a low pass right now." Then a third person (the helicopter pilot?) says, "Okay."

Clearly the Heli pilots fault. Should be a separate area for Helis to fly and let the planes follow a clear pattern.

A good example of why nothing should be hovering over a runway/in an established flight pattern when multiple aircraft are in the air.

Not certain that it was precisely a spotter failure as the heli popped up into the flight path rather quickly. But, spotters could likely have helped if they were doing a better and more proactive job.

When one is being a hazard to other fliers, then yes.

Keep in mind that flying at a field is not a right but a privilege.

number one the helicopter pilot it not being a hazard. However if someone does want to do a low pass you should get out of the way. In situation like this no one is at fault, at least that is how it is at our club. midairs happen, and both sides lose when they do.
