NTM Motors

I had some sk3 motors in the past from hobby king which went bad after 9 flights. The bearings started going out after a day of flying.

I told myself i'd never go cheap again on such a critical component such as motors but today i flew a buddies flip with 2826 1000kv motors and they performed well. No vibes or jello in the video, needless to say i was impressed.

Anybody else using NTM? Please provide your input. I am thinking about installing in my Flip.

You get what you pay for with ntm motors. Pretty low quality control. I have had 8 of them, 1 of them had the collet holes drilled in the wrong place and 3 of them have got motor mount threads unable to hold their screws.
Not well balanced either.
Better to pay a little more for better quality motors. You might get lucky and get a set with no problems but then again you might get what you pay for.

I bought 4 back in November, I practice acrobatics and have had many serious crashes, including this one Saturday (crash is at the end), broke 4 props on that crash.

I was advised to buy 5 because of quality control and still use the original 4. I highly recommend the 1200 version, plus you can use 4 cell batteries with these, sk3 are 3 cell only.

ecks frame crash (1 min 42 sec)

No, when new i hardly lubricate since it attracts dust/dirt.

I did take them apart to clean and then used rifle oil and triflow grease but one of the motors is grinding pretty good.

decided to remove them in favor of some sunnyskys.

Dry teflon lubricants seem to work:
