Hitec 3 channel AM receiver(27 MHZ) I have a??
Hi, I just pick up a hitec 3 channel AM receiver for an airplane.
I was told it was and can be used for a airplane but it`s on 27MHZ,I never had a airplane reveiver on 27MHZ,always on 72MHZ!
Hitec`s web. site list this for an airplane use.
Has anyone used this 27MHZ receiver in a airplane?? Is and will the range be the same as an 72MHZ??
Any problems using this on 27MHZ??

The 6 frequencies on the 27mhz band can be used for both surface and air vehicles. Most all the RTR radio controlled fuel powered cars and trucks as well as some electrics (Traxxas fot one)are all on that band as are all the Firebirds and Sunflies and others including Radio Shack toys. If it were me-I don't think I would use it in a plane.

I have a Focus III on 27Mhz that I fly all the time. However, our flying site is away from the crowds and major highways in an agricultural area. I wouldn't use it in a highly populated area, or near a highway that might still have a lot of CB traffic.
