Birds Of WAR!

Over the last 3 years I have focused almost completely on Airliners and have Neglected my other passion . . . "birds of War- Warbirds WW1, WW2, Korean War, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, & The Soccer war between El Salvador and Honduras . . . trust me it was a Blast!

I don;t want to get rusty and not all my customers want airliners. Having said that during the past year I have started 4 projects and I wanted you guys to choose one-Uno of these and I will start a build thread On your choice after SEFF,

After SEFF & NALL 2013 I will spend the summer completing these projects and feeding my Warbird Fetish!

My friends Here are the choices

HS-129 WW2 Leuftwaffa's A-10 of WW2
KiKKA experimental Japanese Jet of WW2
F-102 Dagger
F-105 Thunderchief

All of these builds have been started & foam & balsa have been cut but I have to time to spend doing a thread on them, but I want you guys to choose one and I will.

Dimensions:

F-102 W25.20" L46"
F-105 W24" L49"
HS-129 W64" L42.75
Kikka W57" L51.25"

I will Honor Your Choice and do a Build thread on what plane you choose.

The 105 seems more challenging than the 102...I say go for a real mean looking 105...

Nice Pic Kzart! That's a two seater "wild-weasel" Version of the F-105 which was a SAM killer in Vietnam.

Let there be NO mistake . . .

All 4 of these warbirds are now being built 2 Kikkas, 2 HS-129s, 2 or 3 F-105s and 2 or 3 F-102s.

I might create Hot-wire Kits for the most popular of these 4 warbirds.

Do EDF Foamies Make a Thud?

I hope I NEVER have to answer that question, But here is the Small glimpse I will give you of my 2-or-3 Thunderchief Build, One will painted in the U.S. Airforce Thunderbirds Scheme and one in Silver & Olive Drab, No Camo they disappear when you cross a tree-line.

Here I'm making the all Balsa Tales for the Thunderchiefs, The plans are all Hand-drawn, I use tracing paper because Its lighter, easier to fold & store and I can place all three views over top of each-other in order to make sure they all match up.

They stuck a 75mm Gun on this Thing . ..

I have always wanted one of these German Tank-busters, so I started 2! the design & construction is simple & direct, nothing fancy, but I will make it as scale as possible.

You will only be able to see more If you choose "HS-129" on the Poll List.

I am partial to planes no other people have. Everyone likes jets. So do I. That is why I like the Kikka the best. Every place you look it is a Korean or Nam jet or another run of the mill jet.. Just go out and buy an Arf if you like them..
But I am a sucker for twin props too. And I love that Hs-129 tank buster. It has that business look. No one has one around. Build it as 1rst choice. Make the Kikka my 2nd choice. . Should look great on those low strafing passes. Camo is tops. If you are out to sell popular planes build the common jet models.

HS-129 2nd

Good choices Sir!

I feel the same way Bob, I haven't bought an ARF or RTF kit in a while, sure I could spend 130-170 for an EDF Jet or I could scratch build two for the price of one ARF Jet from Hobbyking.

Its nice to build & fly something rare.

Wow! Hard choice to make. I usually bend to prop war birds, but the Thud is an un-sung hero. Gotta love that lead sled!
