PL6 and/or CP10 1s charge adapters

Hi,

I have a PL6 and a CP10 which I want to use to charge multiple 1s batteries. Probably the CP10 while the PL6 is doing larger batteries. I am tired of all of the little wall wart charges and doing one at a time. Was wondering which would be better on the the CP10 to do parallel or serial and depending on the answer would these work. I am thinking serial as they will all get balanced but I am open to other options.

Serial cable

Parallel cable (different ends than above I would need the jst to walker adapters)

Thanks,
Keith

Parallel. If the pack's state of charge is very different the charger may trigger safety charge. Also in serial you HAVE to populate all of the connectors. In parallel, only charge what you need. See the sticky at the top of this page for more information about 1s and the Powerlabs.

Thanks Gregor.

Going with the parallel JST I will also have to get a balance connector to wire into the banana plugs since neither the PL6 or CP10 can just charge through the banana plugs.

Or am I missing something?

The CP10 can charge through the balance leads. But charge rate is limited. Adding a balance cable to a parallel charge cable is all that is needed. You could add both the 9pin and the 6pin so the same cable could be used with either charger. Its little more messy, but its more flexible. Your call.

I will probably never use it on the PL6 but I might as well put the 9-pin on too just in case something happens to the 10S.

Thanks again.

Had a couple of extension cables from my old Cellpro 4S that I used the connectors from and soldered the black and red wires to the banana plugs on a parallel battery cable. Works perfectly on the 10S (with the 5 pin to 4 pin adapter) and on the old Cellpro 4S. Now I can get rid of all the wall warts I in my power strip.

Thanks again Gregor.
