Disused airfields near London
Hi all,
Does anyone know if there are any disused airfields with tarmac runway near London? I've heard about "Wisley Airfield", but apparently the land is now private and a compost processing facility will be built there (if not already built  ), has anyone been there recently?Any ideas? Or any stretch of tarmac that we could fly an RC plane? Don't really like grass fields... BTW, my plane is IC, just in case you are wondering... Cheers, happy landings! |

You'll be very lucky if you can find a ready-built flying site that doesn't already have a resident club on it. Have you checked out the BMFA list of clubs http://www.bmfa.org/ ? Click on "Find an Affilitated Club" at the top right.

Yeah, I've looked at this website but couldn't find a proper airfield with a club on it, at least not around London...
