Try naming a few.

The WHO ranked the US as having the 38th best health service in the world in 2000, although it was also the most expensive.

Flawed analogy. Taxpayers don't pay for the costs of building BMWs. We do pay for our respective socialised health services. Everyone in the UK who pays for the NHS is free to use it, while not everyone that pays for the various US socialised health services is free to use them.

The worst thing that could happen to the UK and others is for us to follow their example. The best part of our system is new medication, surgical and diagnostic techniques are being invented due to the opportunities to get paid well for those discoveries. Those opportunities would be reduced to the point that only the most critically necessary would get any real funding. Why spend more on eczema when we have medication for it now, only a small percentage don't get relief and the side effects, while severe, are manageable (usually.)

Thanks to everyone in the US who pays for this research.

It seems that someone missed an opportunity not making surgical techniques patentable.

This is false on its face, he did not have controlling majority of progressives in each house to get bills passed. This is what FUDrs and the CeC sells people who don't want to go look up the facts themselves. Obama had 55 progressive senators ...that's it...

The DNC is a big tent, the GOP is not

If she was fired because she was sick, that is a violation of many laws prior to Obamacare.
This is false, a person only has 3 months of FMLA in America...thx to the right you rarely have enough time to recover from being really ill in this country. It's the right in this country who fights for the healthy and wealthy not the sick and poor.

If she could not afford that, it's her responsibility to have disability insurance so she would not have to depend on Soc Sec disability.
...and all of that centers around having job and 10s of thousands in savings for healthcare alone. A majority of Americans don't have more than 2-3k in savings because the right fights against any standard of living increase for the working class.

A person is only protected for 3 months, you get sick and you're not back at work in 3 months then you the company doesn't have to keep your job...

That's the law thx to the right...

Bottom line in America

don't' get sick

and if you do

die quick or your family will go broke trying to get you well

Okay, thanks. Now I get it.

Man, I thought this thread was honest praise for the UK health care system for a moment.

You got me good.

The US has never been a majority rule nation.

If the democrats can't keep their people in line that is thier problem. The fact is the democrats controlled both chambers and the white house.

This statement makes no logical or moral sense and doesn't answer the question of if something similar happened to you would you consider yourself a freeloader if you got really sick.

It also assumes that family and friends etc have enough resources to help the sick person also...

come on people, we're better than this as a nationa
