As stated by everyone else, I have done this with no problem.
Some new receivers and some new servos can take higher voltages than the older models. But if you are running 6V or less, this should not be a problem.
Certain radio/receiver combinations provide the option for high speed/low latency signaling. It is my understanding that this requires digital servos, but I would check with your radio manual. but if you are running at "normal" rates there is no problem mixing regular/and digital servos.
