Best outdoor helicopter with built-in camera & IR night vision?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any RC heli that will cope well outdoors, has a live streaming camera with night vision capabilities.

I am part of a local SAR unit and just looking at a little project to see if I can get one or modify a heli to help out on our callouts.

The range would only need to be 800m 15mins max dunno if this is capable of RC heli's as I am new to all of this.

Any advice would be great.
Cheers
Dan

This is by far your best option: http://www.dji-innovations.com/produ...ntom/overview/. It comes with a GoPro camera mount.

Check the last 10 pages here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1774685

You will need to swap batteries several times to get 15 minutes with a load. But, that's easy enough.

Anyone can learn to fly the Phantom. It has lots of failsafe features to help beginners. That means it won't require one dedicated, experienced operator. With a conventional RC heli the learning curve is steep and expensive, so the odds of having more than one person skilled enough is poor.

A conventional 500 - 600 size heli would work, but it will cost double what a Phantom costs and you would need to build it. The Phantom is $679 RTF. In any case, you will need to add the night vision and FPV capabilities. You can buy multi-rotors that have these capabilities already, but the cost will be upward of $4000.

If you are looking outdoor helicopter with built-in camera, I will suggest you online store because these online store provide every items at very reasonable price.

Last month I ordered Black Thunderbird Camera 3.5CH RC Helicopter through http://www.hobby-estore.com/. My experience with this store has been good because the order arrived quickly in safe and excellent condition. I hope this store is also helpful for you finding the best outdoor helicopter build with camera.
