Wooden scratch Francis Smith Tug

I dug out an old set of Francis Smith plans for the 85' tug that I built almost 20 years ago. I started it just before Christmas hoping to have it ready for the beginning of the season. The Cat has been on the back burner for this project so I will get back to it when the tug is ready to go. Thanks for looking.
Hope you enjoy.

The plans were originally published in Model Builder Magazine, then Re-published in Model Ships and Boats by the same publisher, so Bill Northrop used to carry them. I am not sure who, if anyone is handling his plan service after his passing. I had heard that his wife, Anita might be running the business. The last contact information I have is:

Bill Northrop`s Plan Service:
2019 Doral Court
Henderson, NV 89014
Phone: (702) 896-2162
Fax: (702) 897-7775

A quick search on e-bay indicates that there are no listings there, but I recall that there was at least one person selling laser parts for a 2x enlargement of the plan parts.

Searching ebay turned up every Model Builder Magazine tug plan except this one! The mraeroedesign site has a laser cut kit, but it doesn't include plans or the article. Northrop's site doesn't list it either. If anyone knows of a source please post a link. I really want to track them down.

Thanks,
Pete

Thanks for the nice comments guys, You are right I got the plans from Bill Northrup many years ago Have no idea where to get them today. So far it is a nice boat to build. I did build and East Coast Dragger from Northrup's plans because the real boats are homeported here is Manasquan NJ. That was also a nice boat to build.

Francis Smith Plans

Correction on the Name of the second Northrop Magazine -- it was "US Boat and Ship Modeler" and the Francis Smith Build Article was in the Premier issue dated "summer 1987." Perhaps this will help in a search.
