Indoor flying in Portland, OR area?

I was looking for any individual, groups or clubs in the Portland, OR area that do indoor RC flying. I would like to get together to do some flying, shoot the breeze and share ideas.

Regards,
Matt Bailey

Matt,

from the 'indoor flying sites' thread in the 'micro threads index' above.....

"Clackamas, the Clackamas Armory at Camp Withycombe, 10101 SE Clackamas Rd. Flying starts at 5:30pm. AMA $5 to fly. Free to watch."

It's off 205.

I went a couple of weeks ago just to check it out. There were probably 20 or 30 pilots and 50 or so planes. They meet every other wednesday (which would be tonight?--not sure if the holiday jogs the schedule.)

Seems like a very nice group of people, lots of different types of planes represented.

Hi Matt-

I'm not sure how the schedule works, but if it is truly every other wednesday (as the description in the indoor flying venue thread once said), I think the next meet would be a week from next wednesday.

Hopefully someone in the know will pipe up!

Hey N5704A

Thanks for the info.

I am a straight tail owner as well (I have a ton of parts too)

I own N8363B, shes a 1957 I trailered up from SJC last Christmas. Check out my restoration or buzz down to visit me at Sunset airstrip (1OR3).

Yes,

I feel like I am working on a piece of history...wait a minute...I am. Its a lot of work, but I hope the end result will be worth it. Saving the motor for last at this point. My friend just finished his Lancair Legacy, talk about opposite ends of the spectrum.
