The good thing about someone stealing your equipment (if you call it that) is that you get to start over. We also lost a DX18 QQ, DX8, Powerlabs 8 Charger, several battery packs, a nice customer built battery charging station, F16 and radio cases.
Ecks has been gracious enough to send me another frame and Wiseduck has also offered to send me his ecks Beta frame which is also very welcome and will be used for FPV.
So now we have to order the rest of the equipment to get it to fly. I will welcome a list of good components that we could use. He likes the KK 2.0 board so that is a must but what ESC's and Motors to go with.

Many Thanks to such support from a great community. We are truly grateful.

thank you for the recommendation.

as I could read you have some probs with your fc?! could you describe your issues more closely?

nevertheless, concerning your frame, how many sheets of wood veneer is the frame made of? do you glue the wood veneer sheets together?

They are made from very good plywood that is already glued together

thank you for the information.

to be honest, I donīt like the look of the wood very much. for sure i had some hidden agenda when asking this.

in the skateboard scene they use maple plywood since 40 years. in recent years skateboard manufacturers use new process technologies building their decks.

the form of ecks frame looks very cool, but the wodden finish reminds me of an old commode. lol

here is a link describing technologies skatebaord manufacturers use
http://www.skate-the-planet.com/articles/deckTech.html

the fiberlam method would really look cool with ecks frame.

some plies wood are sandwiched between two high density thermal plies there.

that would look fantastic ...

but hey, an organic look is also ok if you like it. each to their own.

but it is not only the looks, stiffness and weight reduction are also reasons using such technologies.
