I don't think our machine will handle the carbon dust. Would be nice to try but as it would be thinner, I guess it would be too flexible?

The strength, and weight of this frame I honestly don't think could be better in another material.

Seems like carbon would defeat the purpose of what you were going for with these.

I agree. Now I have got to this stage, im thinking this is going to be a great alternative for more expensive material frames such as carbon and G10.

I can go even lighter, but Im more than happy with the strength now. After that crash test video I made yesterday I went out again today. I was interested to find the breaking point. I threw it at the ground as hard as I could, against a wall, the worst damage is a scuff that could easily be sanded out with sandpaper. Its still not broken so I can always video more tests.

When I threw it at the wall, it bounced off so fast it nearly hit me.

Brilliant, thanks!

You still have my address and all that, right? If you manage to get it here on Friday I'll have it built asap and tested at an indoor RC event I'm going to on Saturday. Seeing as this is a similar build to my F330 it shouldn't take long to get it up into the air.

EDIT: Doh, forgot about Posten and their limits on package sizes. I might have to wait for a package slip to arrive before I can go get this one at the local ICA store.

Ohh, now that's sexy! You've made some pretty impressive progress in such a short amount of time! I have the same LED lights too, including the car headlights, so expect to see a very similar setup on mine.

You know, I thought I'd turn this thing into a basher. But it could be a very exciting FPV platform. I have spare FPV gear here. I received another 200mw transmitter the other day because the other one I have is about to give up.

What prop size are you running? Looking at ordering some parts I would need to finish this as soon as I get to it.

The design reminds me of the Nanowii frame sold at Flyduino. I would actually like to have a CF frame with the same design and whatnot. But that's for some other time I think, thick CF is quite expensive. But it would be nearly indestructible.
