Arc Angel

Screw-In

Well, I think we ready to roll out the ARC Angels.

My Brothers and I (Team Stevens) wanted to bring back the simplicity of an open airframe delta like the Diamond Dust in an all new laser cut platform for electric RC only.

After a few prototypes ( http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1775338 ), we have our first set of 20 deltas called the Arc Angel. Specs are as follows:

Arc Angel Specs:

Length: 27 1/2 inches

Wing Span: 33 inches

Wing Area: 525 Square inches (Including Elevons)

Weight: 1.9lbs (3S 2200mAh) - 2.5lbs (4S 3400 mAh) as tested.

Motor: 28mm Outrunner 3S-4S as tested.

We were consistantly getting over 90mph on 3s and 119mph on 4s. Once popped a 124mph! I'm sure there are other combos out there that will get faster speeds (challange) if anyone is interested in that sort of thing.

The Arc Angel is a sport delta with a rudder for spins and snaps.

If anyone is interested, please send me a PM. I am prepared to offer kits, ARCs, and ARFs.

Building the kit requires no plans or jigs of any sort. Follow the pics. Keep in mind, this is very brief.

At this point, your ribs should be glued in to place howerever the rods should NOT be glued to the fuse. They should be moving free.

Time to add the Leading edge rods.

Using Kevlar string, wrap your leading edges and soak with thin CA.

Fill in your trailing edge. Your trailing Edge started as a 1/8 balsa. Using the provided 1/16 balsa, we are going to fill it in.
