first difficult test, I have to put the battery well before (2200 3s)
but just a little.
Tomorrow I'll try with a 3000 3s battery, to heavier front.

how to fly horizontal,
I am new to multirotor so do not know much about the MultiWii. If it preforms like the KK2.1 then you should be able to do it.

On the Flyguy I have the feet canted at 15 degrees to generate yaw in turns. I wanted to see what variable thrust would do to turn him. Embedding the quad let me test this and try to hover. He turns fine with differential thrust and hover is easy with a good FC board.

Hoverflyguy has canted sides for looks but the feet are level. He is also wider to accommodate the quad. The motors in the chest are close together and those on the top are spread. The top plate and center plate are combined into one center plate that passes through the center of the quad at the CG, about an inch behind the traditional CG.

If Otto has some dimensions or drawings I can REWORK the current plans
to achieve the proper HoverFlyGuy plans.

I figured that I'd wait for all the dust to settle re FC adjustments and configuration.
But I suppose a Heads p would be prudent at this time.

I'm Liking the Hover ability feature.

BTW I HAVE several different FC's.
So I'll be able to test when I get a chance to build.

Sorry for rant - but it's seriously cold here just now ! :-(

No problem. I am still working on him and learning. Basically, he is a standard V1 Flyguy62 widened 7 inches. The top plate and center plate are integrated into one top plate that runs the length. The breast plate is 13.5 x 7 inches. The feet are similar to Skyman's.

I started with 7 inch props but cut them down to 6 inches because I had too much thrust. Prop diameter controls all the measurements. I'd probably make him a couple inches thinner if I was starting again.

I am happy to provide all I know to this point but I feel there is still a lot to learn.

Do you think a separate thread should be started?

I think that a new thread for Hover(Fly)Guy would be nice and easier to find that lost posts in a full thread...
