I just purchased a Blade SR UH-1 Huey from a local hobby shop.

I installed some "training skids" so I could get use to the hovering/calibrate the controls.

I noticed on the first time using it, when the blades spool up, the tail rotor has minimal spin to it. And only increases in spend when I give it input.

I fire it up a second time, the tail rotor, even while on the ground is running max speed and rotating the helicopter violently to the right.

Even making adjustments its still spinning full speed and rotating the heli to the right.The only way to fix this is to give max left rotate input; even then the heli sounds like it doesn't want to do that. I am kind of lost on what to do, short of calling the hobby shop for pointers here I am.

Any ideas?

You best contact the hobby shop. That's a gyro or board problem.
