120 blade grip adj.?

hi, got a nube question.
just finished reading a tutorial on the 120sr. in this reading it is said to tighten the blade grips just enough to keep the blades from flopping when the heli is turned on its side. can still be easily moved by a finger but gravity can`t pull them down. this is said to make the blades from lagging behind each other and in turn, make the heli more stable.

but i have read in this forum or maybe it was another, that doing this it may cause the toilet bowl effect. the 120 manual says to keep them a little loose. being a nube i don`t know who is right.

what do you guys have to say to this?

I'm a nooB with a 120sr also. I tightened my blades up like so many recommend and it seems to make the heli fly even more stable than it already was. I haven't noticed any ill effects so far. Hope this helps

The blades can be a lot looser than you think. If they track clean, you won't have any problems. But, follow the recommendations, anyway.

My 120 wants to run looser than my coaxes in the same size class. I have quoted the "gravity flop" rule but I have come to recognize that it is not golden. If you do that to submicros they will almost always toiletbowl or vibrate violently.
