It's been a slow slow summer so far.

I gotta think that the Economy is WAY worse than has been reported.

hello

sorry for my english
I'll make version 62, all my parts are cut, but before I'd like to have your opinion.
I would like to put 2 motors Turnigy 2830/11-1000kv. 1 motor on each shoulder as shown in this picture http://i55.servimg.com/u/f55/12/36/78/28/dsc02916.jpg.
I need your opinion
it must give the Breakers and dihedral for engines?

I do not know what the effects will be. I have wanted to do counter rotating motors to remove the torque effects. The balance point CG should be the same.
Let us know your progress.

how I explain a portion of the propeller will soufler in the cage and the other party was outside.
therefore part of the breath will act on elevon can be good?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a little advice on my newest project, an 8' fly guy. I scaled the 62 plans up to achieve the size, but have some questions about the control surfaces. I started a thread here. Thanks for your help

I have a question...

Maybe weird, definitely OT, but...

Here, in Austin, Texas, we have a kite festival every year. Would this work as a stunt-kite?

You'd definitely need to experiment.

You could make it a lot lighter, no electronics, probably save half the weight, allowing it to "fly" with less apparent wind. But the resultant CG will probably be unsuitable. Hate to add weight to the front, you should think about how to get weight out of the back.

Maybe as a 4 line stunt kite. ah la Revolution Kites.

You'd have to figure out a good Bridle for taming things down since it's Narrow.

Then again ...

I suppose you could fly it with the body Horizontal AKA Revolution like aspect ratio.

I would NOT expect it to be as resilient as a Rev though.
even with light wrapped CF sparing hard whacks would be hard on the foam.

I have a 4-line Elephant and flying Golden Gate Bridge ( all Icarex) and used to have a
Ellipse I called the Ellipse TIck with a bug appliqued on the corner.

Let us know how you did with vidz too :-)

Flyguy62 Version 3 prototype

Hi all. I've been playing with different features on Flyguy and exploring hover capability. Out of these efforts I have found a configuration that really gets Flyguy to perform the full compliment of aerobatic maneuvers.

This is a platform for an advanced flyer and is more complicated to build and fly. Beginners and intermediate flyers should still stay with the Flyguy Version 2.

What I don't like are the two exposed props of the two motors. I have always liked the added safety of the prop enclosed in the body, especially because Flyguy is such a kid magnet.

The two motors have differential thrust tied to the rudder stick which can generate significant yaw allowing hammerheads, 4 pt and slow rolls.

There are only two horizontal plates; the chest plate and main body plate. The main body plate is a combination of the old arm plate and the center body plate.

The body is 16 inches wide at the main body plate and 12 inches wide at the chest plate. The feet are hinged at 18.5 inches from the tip and not canted as on other Flyguys. The sides are still angled at about 15 degrees. A foam mannequin head is used up front and houses the batteries.

The two motors are HK 2200 kv with 45amp ESCs and two 3s2200mah batteries. Servos are Hitec HS-225MG.
