Build help, .15 Wild Thing, control linkages
So I'm building a .15 sized wild thing electric. Its a combat style plane, balsa kind of like an ugly stik almost
I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do with it, it was an impulse buy, guess I'm gonna fly the hell out of it!
So heres the basic run down
G15 Turnigy outrunner
55amp Trust Turnigy ESC
6ch reciever for 9x
tgy90s servo's (9g metal servo)
2200 3s Nanotech
Now I think this is made for a larger servo, it only has two servos, one shares duty on the ailerons, one for the elevator.
The plane came ARF with the linkages installed, but I'm really not liking the install style.
Basically they are metal rods without ends. so I figured I'd get some solder on Dubro types, but I have no idea how to really solder these on, any tips? I've done some basic soldering before, 3.5mm connectors, xt60 connectors... that type of deal
Im really not wild about this style of connector... maybe I'm just nervous about the durability any my soldering skills...
also what really perplexes me, is the linkages to the ailerons in no way shape or form line up properly, I have to bend them to get them to attach to the aileron servo.... I will include some pics on another post.... they are on my phone.
any thoughts? concerns? ideas? I wouldn't rule out doing a different linkage setup but what should I do?
this is my first time doing up a balsa plane...
