Maybe it was a heli not set to soft start. But that looks like something sharper did all those cuts, you'd think a heli tail or main rotor would be more blunt cuts. Or just taken a finger or two, or three... . Man, it looks like he just held it there for while or something, dang.

Whatever it was, it had to be small enough to fit in his hand, and no helicopter with enough power to cut is that small. And yeah, big ones will shop off your hand, not fillet it.

Yeah, I think an accidental spool up on a heli gives you a second or two to jump out of the way.
