Full-Body Jet Fighter Pilots

I have been talking with Rocco about distributing these pilot figures within the US, and I wanted to get some consumer feedback before either of us make a large investment.

So take a look at the video below and let me know what you all think.
Is there a market for full-body, full resin, hand painted pilots?

They weigh 58 grams, 120mm high, 45mm wide.

FIGHTER PILOTS BY ROCCO LEO (1 min 28 sec)

Any and all feedback is appreciated

Pictures do not do this pilot full justice. The level of detail and texture on this is outstanding. Metal buckles shine, shoe laces are in place, one can even see and feel the stitching on the harness. Pens are in place on the arm (shoulder) pocket, gun is holstered, flight map on lap, etc.

Depending on the level of response, the first batch of pilots should be ready to ship before April; and these pilots will be available at SEFF.

You neglected pricing!! Is the 120mm from top of helmet to tip of boots? And what scale? At 4.72"!

Cooler asked the right questions. I like the detail on them, but how much are they?? At 4.72" that's a big bird to go in.

I am hesitant to commit to pricing until I have more information from the manufacturer; this has been done the last few years on a much smaller scale and we expect to achieve some economies of scale if we can increase production and sales.

Stay tuned for pricing, I hope to have working numbers for price within the next week or so.

The smaller ones with that detail would be an easy sell, I'd take a couple for the right price.

good to hear, I am currently using a small one (no legs) on my F-86 70mm. I will have pricing for both full body and no-leg versions soon...

I will be posting pricing info as soon as I know costs, thanks for patience.

I had looked at these a long time ago, but for my build they were a little small. If you have a 1/8th scale plane you would need it to be approx 222mm/8.75"

At my best guess these are close to 1/15th scale, if you figure an average males height of 5' 10".

Question from post #2 Is the 120mm from top of helmet to tip of boots?

Just a passing impression from years in the cockpit.........we never sat bolt upright against the seat like these guys, rather we were leaning slightly forward with head and shoulders not back against the headrest. So for a more realistic "look" they need to be leaning a bit forward.....
(Look at inflight shots of real fighters)
The posture on so many of the pilots in the cockpit of guys models look like they have assumed the brace for ejection.....
Just saying,
-Mike

The one you see leaning against the seat, I had to keep shimming the backside to fit under my canopy. I slanted him back so that I only had to remove material from the rear and could keep the buckles.

I do not have the full body on hand yet, but will post full dimensions as soon as I get them from Rocco (the designer, manufacturer and painter)
