I have 2 of these Blade MLP4DSM, with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX Technology transmitters. These will bind to many RC's and RX. Will bind to OrangeRX, Spektrum, MCX2, MQX, 120SR just to name a few. All work and are in excellent condition picture shows Blade, there are also Some with E-flite on the front but they are identical in every way but name on front. Asking $20 each plus shipping.

Yes. Many people use the guts to add DSM2 capability to the 9x radios. (I'm not the OP...)

They can also be used to add native Spektrum support to Microstar2000 DIY based radios. They will do both DSM2 and DSMx in the stock form, just be aware these are low power devices so really only good for park flyers (how big is a park?) and indoor models.

Here is what I found. The main thing is that the bind instructions may be different for DSM2, it states you should use bind instructions from model you are binding to.
Is DSMX Compatible with DSM2?
Yes. DSMX is fully compatible with all DSM2 hardware. In fact, many pilots may find the DSM2 equipment they have now is all they will ever need. Even if a new DSMX transmitter eventually comes along that they really want, all the DSM2 receivers they have now will work with it.
It is important to note, however, that while DSMX is compatible with DSM2, the only way to experience the full benefits of DSMX in a busy 2.4 environment is by pairing a DSMX transmitter with a DSMX receiver.
