For Sale
3d Hobby Shop 55" extra LPU Brooklyn NY

Selling my 3dhs 55" extra. Plane is in great shape and flies like a dream - can do any 3d stuff your fingers can muster. its a 3dhs plane -what more can I say .
The gear was knocked out once - only the gear plate cracked; the rest of the supporting structure i.e. formers etc. were fine. I was able to pull the gear plate out clean and make another one which tabbed into place. So the repair is virtually invisible. The wheel pants did go through the bottom covering of the wing - no structural damage, but there is an extra white strip near the root of each wing. Also a patch on the top side of one wing. Again not very visually obtrusive.
comes with 5 hitec 225mg servos, Mile High RC 400kv motor and Hobbywing 100 amp esc. (bullet connectors) This is a great combo and not short on power!
No SFGs. I fly off a grass field so the wheel pants are in bad shape. I eventually took them off and went with slightly over-sized light weight Dubro wheels.
Asking $375

A bit difficult for me to spare the time right now - if you come into the city I could meet somewhere. Alternatively I can bring it to the WRAM show if you are planning on attending. Thanks.

Chris
I was using both 4s 5300mah 25c gens ace and 5s 5000mah 35-70c Turnigy nanos. On the 4s power was good on 15x8 xoar wood prop. A 15x6 was good for 3d but did not have much vertical performance. The 5s with 15x6 was ideal for 3d with great pull out. 15x8 on 5s carried a bit more speed so stall and high alpha flight characteristics changed a little (everything happened a bit faster) but overall still very good for 3d. Never tried 6s, I imagine it would be a rocket.
Never really measured amp draw but with a 100 amp esc and 400kv motor the set up never even got warm after a good 8-10 min aerobatic flying including hovering etc. (Motor is rated for up to 8s, 17x9 prop, and aerobatic plane up to 9lbs -so the set up can be used on bigger planes.)

Nice video. I am guessing the GR60 was a heavier motor and hence why you are running heavier batteries. Your plane does look in great condition for it's age.. Good luck with the sale.
