Way to go! Warren.

Please bring more guys to Asia with you come October.

TR2013 - Typhoon Race 2013, Hon Kong, is a week ahead of our Longpan F3F schedule. Both are F3F World Cup events of 2013. The registration for TR2013 has already begun. Please check this website:

http://www.hkrcss.org/F3FGroup2/TR20...13%20Home.html

Our website will be up shortly. Please sign up with TR2013 if you intend to compete in both events as soon as possible.

For a trip like this, I would love to fly as much as possible.

Cheers, Michael

Mike, thank you for the update, I will be calculating my over seas availability and making my path as soon as possible.

Guys, before you think of what day I am leaning towards, I havent ruled out doing both days. So if you are a saturday guy, and conditions permit, I will make the event as advertised, same for sunday.

Hey there guys, I picked up a few other new planes...so I'll have 3 new planes to maiden this weekend. The problem I face is that the Omega Mini I picked up I can't find where the CG should be. I emailed SUSA and got back 40-42%. I don't know how to use this info to calculate where a CG should be. Anyone able to help with that? I'm not sure if this info is used in a calculation or just 40-42% from leading edge at the root or what.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ken

ps...I'll have the Precision, the Energic and this Mini to fly.

You mean to measure back from the leading edge and calculate 40-42% of the root cord?

as an example: if the root cord is 100 mm...the CG should be at 40-42mm from leading edge?

Not trying to be dense...but want to be clear.

It is early for a final call, but I am so not ready for the J contest, and I wont be back until saturday morn, so.... Its on! Saturday the wind looks good, conditions flyable around noon or so. I will be there. Sunday the conditions look weak, but still westish, so I will do it again, no problem. I am thinking noon each day.

Ken got inlandsloperebels.com and checkout the cg calculator, I would use 30% as a safe place to start, toucan allways remove weight, it's tough toadf when the plane is tail heavy, I couldn't find any info, but I bet it's 42mm back from leading edge not 42%. Ian

Nose heavy planes don't fly right. Tail heavy planes fly once.
Pick your poise.
