1911 Fokker Spider Flight Video
I just finished my final version of the 1911 Fokker "Spin," or "Spider." Anthony Fokker was Dutch, and Spin is the Dutch word for Spider. This is an apt name for this trainer aircraft due to the profusion of flying and rigging wires.
My Spider design is a 28 inch wingspan version and weighs 2.8 ounces. I use the three channel ParkZone motor and ESC out of their foam P-51. I am working diligently on the CAD plans, and hope to have a complete set of plans done and for sale by mid-March.
The Spider flies very well under three channels of control. The dummy motor, landing gear and various cabane struts are easy to fabricate and install.
