Jussi;
A big thank you! The information you share is very appreciated! I can state that having placed an order with Viacopter in the past I am a very satisfied customer, great service.
My best from Texas.

Yes, Jussi has been giving me top notch support for quite awhile now :^)
Not surprised to hear others have been having the same experience.

Is it better to hit the 15ohm than 7,3? This I don`t understand. what is the best?
as I understand from reading russian forum and talking with some people who did it
you should stay from 10 to 14 Ohm where 14 is better...

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1747579

ANY OF YOU KNOW DISC TYP OF MOTOR 24T26P
This slot/magnetpole combination will have 312 cogging steps per turn.
And its windingfactor is: 0.94947

Dualsky is not good for us, it has very strong magnets and a huge magnetic cogging

Maths say if you go single wire and double the turns you get 4x the resistence, ie 29.2 ohms.
Woud make for an interesting comparison, tho'

Im thinking like im back in school right now

-Okay I did 2 strands and 30 turns and got 3,65 ohm in one phase.

-If I remove one strand I will increase the ohm, and then going for more turns
like 60 turns will increase it more. I won´t hit any 14 ohm target thats for sure.
More like 30ohms

Hm so the best thing may be to try winding it with 0.2mm and see how it goes.

But I don`t have it

If he got 3.65 ohms from double strands ( resistance of two 7.3 windings in parallel )

Then using one single strand would take it up to 7.3 ohms again. With only one strand he could then put twice as many turns on and go to 14.6 ohms per phase ( 29.2 over two phases )

I am a newbie too as far as winding gimbal motors.

@JussiH, (or anyone else that knows for that matter)

I've been browsing the AutoQuad pages and forums and am getting a little smarter, those are great resources for us new guys. One question I have that I can seem to find an answer for is if the AQ6 AutoQuad controller can be used on a tricopter. I see it does quads, octos, and hexs from the motor mixing table setup descriptions. But there is not any mention if it can be used on a tricopter or three arm copter. Will the AQ6 not work for tricopters?

I have been toying with building a tricopter just to ease into this a little and because I have a lot of the parts for that. I was going to use a KK board for that and probably still will but was wondering if the AQ6 is capable of being used on a tri.

Jack
you can also consider similar PX4 controler

Well, he did say that he had 7.3 ohms across 2 phases with 2 strands/30 turns, so I would assume winding the same motor with 1 strand/60 turns would double the resistance....
