RC Planemaster - comes with good USB controller.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RealityCra...item256ffa4ed7

Many will talk about paying more for Clearview ... Phoenix ... Realflight etc. but Planemaster comes with a controller that is good. The graphics are good enough to get you well on the way. User settings are extensive along with full capability to use your own Tx if so wished.

Forget FMS ... and beware of buying a USB controller on it's own - yes it will most likely be same as Planemasters .. but will come with FMS and for price difference - better to get Planemaster.

I've been RC'g for more than 40yrs and Planemaster keeps me happy on rainy days, I test myself on manoeuvres ... and yes I crash on it !!

In my opinion, his sim is plenty enough. http://www.amazon.com/Flight-Simulat...ight+simulator

Its not as detailed as the big ones, but will give you the feel of flying a model.

This is the only one i know of for less than $50 http://www.amazon.com/Flight-Simulat...ight+simulator It comes with a controller and the software. it is not very realistic but it will allow you to get the hang of things. But if you are willing to spend some more cash, i highly recommend Phoenix. http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...e-2-RTM40R5510 It comes with a REAL RC Transmitter that you can use with your real rc planes. you will save a lot of money in parts if you buy a good sim.

Like I posted earlier - stay away from those that give FMS as the software ... the Amazon product is SAME USB controller as the Planemaster's ... but that's where the similarity ends ... Planemaster is a full sim ... and not FMS AND well under $50 incl shipping.

Phoenix .... guy said under $50 ... and anyway - ALL sims of RC will use proper Tx if wanted.

As to whether Planemsater works on Win 7 .. that I will check when I get home, my set-up on home system is XP ....

I don't live in USA ... so can only suggest US based Ebay ? or Amazon ??

But even if you buy via International / UK Ebay - the price would still be ok ?

I use phoenix and highly recommend it. It comes with a real Spektrum transmitter. Or can save some money if you already have one.
