genesis 2075kv motor
Went for the first time to try my boat and to say the least it was slowwww. I mean slow. The motor is 2075kv.
Bear in mind i am still using crap plastic prop. and i am also unsure of these 4s batteries i am using(zippy 3000 20c)
Firstly what wattage should i be aiming for?
Secondly should i increase the timing in the esc? ? Are there any implications for increasing timing.
Hope somebody can shed some light

Everybody will say your lipo's are not good enough. You want power, get 40C batts. For the rest. I don't know what motor it is, what prop it is etc. Photos is always nice.

A fast & reliable set up for that 8Xl motor is an octura X440/3 prop with the timing at 15 degrees on the ESC. Batteries required are 5000mah 40C minimum. Esc, at least 180A.
Bottom of strut 1/8" above the bottom of the sponsons & level with the sponsons.
A guy at our club races with that & it holds its own in the 4s cat class.
