How fast can this go...
Picked up one of these - HK3226-1400
How fast can it be made to go? Without going too daft on ultra-high cost kit that is...
Thinking a new scratch build rather than mouldie, to keep costs under control, ala Ninja Speed style maybe?
Thoughts, comments, suggestions welcome...

For a Ninja-Speed sized Speeder i would take a bigger motor.
Erwin Schaumburger (the designer of the ninja) made some other interesting scratch built projekts as the 2/3 or 4/5 ( these Numbers are more or less the size compared to the Nina)
The 2/3 may be a little small for that Motor, its designed for Funjet-drives, but it may work when you keep airframe light.
I run my 2/3 with HK3026-1400 at 6S and 7x10 but will change to a lighter Drive soon.
The 4/5 was designed for up to 10S, Schiwo scored 380Km/h with a 3226-900 Kv at 10 S and 7x10.
Your motor will not be able to take more than 6 Cells with reasonable props,so i would have a closer look at Erwins newest design, the Gixxer:
This Plane is designed arround 250g outrunners and 6 Cells, with your Motor, 6S 3000 and 7x10 i would expect speed arround 350Kph.
For all this planes it is possible to get Plan,CNC milled kit and wingcores.

this is basically the same motor as the Kontronik I used on this wing: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1302684
203mph on 5s on a 7x10

Thanks Guys for the pointers and links.
I now have some research to do before fixing planform and size but The Gixxer looks good.
Good to see some numbers, I have 5S3600 and 6S3000 Lipos already in my OpusGTE, I'm scared to think what ESC I'll need with the 7x10 for this one
