That may have been the loudest pistol I've ever heard. I always wondered why they didn't offer it in left hand action. Seems to me it would be a natural for a right hand shooter to open the bolt with his left hand.

Sure the bayonet is still part of the infantrymans arsenal, but I have yet to see a fire team, squad or platoon of infantry with fixed bayonets in many of the pictures and news stories covering troops in Iraq or Afghanistan, but that's not saying it does not happen in the combat enviornment.

I think you misunderstood the post, I was not saying that revolvers had bolt actions. Revolvers have been replaced long ago with the semi auto side arm in the military.
