Yes Sir! She will float. Low speed taxi is good.
Think it will fly.
The gap in between float and fly might be tricky

Keeping the nose up with the high thrust line might be a problem.
The elevator and prop location should help with this.

Makes one less picky on how all the parts fit, little bulge here a little flat there

What ever experience I have is nothing compared to the others here.
With out everyone's help it would not have gone as good as it did.

I noticed that the camera flash makes the white foam show through the
stain In normal lighting it actually looks like a wood finish.

Forecast shows wind. wet stuff, and combination's of such mixed with cold.
Not good for flying

Wonder if the 'Y' might still have an indoor pool? Warm air, warm water.

Yes! A very short flight.
1st try felt good and responsive and ran out of aileron trim, landed to tweak.

2nd-4th flights side slipping to left touch the rudder to correct and
Will do anything but correct!
Apparently on the 1st landing the lower part of rudder hung on the grass and
tore the tape hing

Now need to repair a couple of brace wires and try again soon as life allows.

That short 1st flight indicated a docile slow flier. The high thrust line has a strong effect so gentle power changes seem to help maintain attitude.

I've always had an interest in this plane. Maybe I've got or seen some old drawing, but it's been in the back of my mind for years.

It looks great and I really hope you get a video of it posted soon.
