Nice work Ming.

The center section looks like it would fly ok on it's own if you added tiplets. It looks a lot like the wide chord combat planes currently popular in California.

I do prefer the long, high aspect look with the outboard section on myself.

I miss something improtant, the center section come with one 48 inch pre-install 1 cm X 4mm square carbon spar, it can make the whole wing more rigid.

rloose,

I'd like to do an electric add on also. Was thinking of a tape on motor pod. I also thought about a nice slow rocket powered launch. If the pods were held on with nylon screws they could be changed with little effort.

Ming has a sale on the Queen Bee for April.
I think he hit the sweet spot for price.
I'll have to put in my order, and reserve a spot on the ceiling for it.

Has anybody added an electric motor , or even a glow engine to a QUEEN BEE ?

Not to be rude but let's keep motors out of the equation, ok?
(especially slimer motors)

motors not welcome?

Hmmm??

I fly slope with my motorized Slinger. When things go bad, I just turn on the aux power. Guess that must be some big Faux Pas, Que no?? Us New Mexicans just don't know any better.

Appy2day-

Go to http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ight=queen+bee

You will find a very good Foamie thread on putting an unmentionable on the Queen Bee. Retract landing gear too.

Ming,

Thanks for the GREAT Kit. It sure came with all the building supplies.
Also included were 2 whistles and an air buzzer, had a good laugh at that.
I'm fitting my radio gear now and should get the colored tape on Thursday night.
I left enough room to fit a 9-inch prop on the rear between the elevonís, in case I want to add power.
I still want to strap a rocket pod onto it. I built a rail launcher last weekend, will put up some pictures next week.

Regards,

Hello Appy2day

Don't forget to tape the wing join very tight before launch! and do it on both size (up and down I mean). I am trying to en-long the tips side carbon spar, hope the wings could be strong after it.
