you could also consider the MH series of airfoils. they would fit well in this application.

I think so too! Just trying to put together and finalize a "what I need to buy" list.
It just keeps getting bigger! Did run into one snag though, come to fine out the retracts I planned on using are not up to task. Waiting on a PM, on one's I inquired about.

I want to have most of the components "on hand" before I start. A couple of big ticket one's may have to wait a bit, like an ESC and batteries! AlthoughI see CC is coming out witha new line, so maybe there will be some deals on the older ICE models. Save a buck where and when you can. Out of curiousity, I had to see how it will look. The wing cores are over sized, and need to be cut down yet, that's why the rulers are in photo. LE will be on back side of them.

It is, looking a little "flimsy" at this time. The angle of the photo makes the T.E. of wing and stab, " appear closer than they are".

I just have the free Profili2 version. I did find out that you can modify the thickness of the airfoil. When you pull up airfoil Management, select Process and just play with it, see what you can do. Sometimes a window will come up and say you can't do this, just hit continue, may or may not work. For me it has all I need. Have Fun

Yes, it's been cold here too. Getting tired of -20 in the early AM. Warm here now, 7 above, wild chill -13, but he suns out!! -14 for tonight. Tough on the heating bill.

If one can believe the IRS, my refund will in the bank Thurs. Let the ordering begin!! Have done some additional ground work, back in post #36, there was a link to a past E-Scorpion thread. I got a hold of one owners from original release, and he is going to send me some requested info. Should help a great deal.

I did make one purchase this week, some Spring Air main gear. Good to 15lbs!

Final choice on servos, Sorry JR's were not in the program.

Weight: 1.94oz. (55.2g)

HS-81 Micro-Retract valve
Operating Speed (6.0V): 0.09sec/60° at no load
Stall Torque (6.0V): 41.66 oz/in. (3kg.cm)
Weight: 0.58oz (16.6g)

Total servo weight—11.56oz!

Did get to draw out projected ducting, this is to scale. The "D" in between, is intake shape. Figures out to be 3.54 sq in. just short of the needed 3.8sqin. Already have new one figured at 3.82sqin, close enough.

Need a trip to LHS, to order some 1/8" 6-ply plywood, perhaps a few other items from Bud Nosen. Good time of the year to buy it around here, cold and almost no humidity= no warping

Hang in there, this build might take awhile!

Sounds like its a project .
Did you ever consider under cutting the wing that fits in the fuselage? The wing area around the ducts can be shaped and then reinforced. Then any airfoil could be used outside the fuselage profile.
