Ready to Fly - Folding Quad - PRICE DROP $195

Hi All

Ready to fly quad kit - $325 $295 $195 shipped conus (or make an offer)

I am selling a well designed, home built quad including a starter radio control for out of the box flying. Just plug in the batteries, switch on and fly.

I have been building my own quads for a while now as I refine the design for my own needs of shooting 3D GoPro and FPV. Along the way I have made many prototypes and test frames. Today I gathered together various parts from past experiments and put together a quad kit suitable for a beginner to intermediate flyer with a great anti Jello GoPro solution.

Quad Characteristics:
Folding design for travel
Aluminum arms and Plywood body
Dual layer vibration dampening design
GoPro Piano wire anti vibration cradle for Jello free video

Tech Spec:
Flight Controller - Gaui GU-344
Tx Rx - HobbyKing HK60F 2.4 GHz (short range - a few hundred feet)
Motors - SunnySky 2216 1250kv
ESC - Mystery Blue 30A (not Simonk)
Props - APC slowfly
Batteries - Zippy 1600 mAh (use two at a time for 3200 mAh flight)
Battery Alarms
GoPro piano wire anti Jello Platform
AUW 1.4 KG (including two batteries and a gopro without case)

What you can expect from this Quad:
Good flight performance with a 50% throttle hover and 6 - 8 mins of flight time with a GoPro. A nice folding design for compact storage or travel. Jello free video 90% of the time when shooting with a GoPro at 1080p 30 fps. Even better with 60 fps. A ready to fly solution straight out of the box.

What you can not expect from this Quad:
No fancy flight controls like GPS or return to home. If you lose radio contact it will just keep going on the last input. This cheap Hobby King Tx/Rx is just to get you in the air so you can learn to fly out of the box. In an open field it should be fine for several 100 ft but you should not expect to be flying further than a 100 ft radius without upgrading the Tx Rx first. That is still plenty of distance to get you in to trouble :-) Also don't expect super smooth laser cut lines etc. The 'charming' jigsaw evidence is there to see in the plywood.

What do you get for $325 $295 $195:
1 x Home built folding quad frame
1 x Home built GoPro Anti Jello mount
4 x SunnySky 2216 1250kv motors
4 x APC props
4 x Mystery Blue 30A ESC's
1 x power distribution board
5 x Zippy 1600 mAh 3s 20C batteries
1 x XT60 parallel battery adaptor
1 x Gaui GU-344 flight controller
2 x Low voltage battery alarms (one on the quad and one on the Tx)
1 x HobbyKing HK60F Radio controller (Tx)
2 x HobbyKing Receivers (one on the quad and one spare)
1 x 1000 mAh 3s 20C battery for the HK60F Tx
1 x Gaui and HobbyKing paper manuals
(GOPRO CAMERA NOT INCLUDED)
(No battery charger included either)

Ok that is everything I can think of. Here is a 7 min flight video (shot in 1080P 30 fps Medium mode) made today so you can see it working in the wind. (Sorry for poor audio)...

Folding Quad for sale (9 min 46 sec)

cheers...phil

and a bunch of pics...

I did some tests with G10 vs Plywood and the ply was much lighter and stiffer. Easier to cut as well.

Very nice build! Is there a forum you can point me to regarding that "piano Wire" go pro mount? That's interesting.

The main surfaces are 3.5mm but there is a thick spacer part in the middle that is about 12mm
