I haven't ordered from CNChelicopter before so I don't know how fast they ship, but I can tell you GotheliRC got my order out fast as lightning! I placed an order before I left for lunch and when I got back it was already out

That one really hangs it out in the front. The stability is so squirelly when you do that.

Fat Shark Dominator googles w/ 5.8ghz receiver module
5.8ghz Immersion RC transmitter
And I simply run it off the GoPro
- On that note I tried to make a 10 pin cable myself with a 4 and a 5 pin cable but no luck. Waiting for one to be delivered in two days along with a basic OSD ($14.99) for battery feedback. Right now I'm using a Hero2 with a cable I put together in 5 minutes.

So far it flies great! This is my first try at FPV and I can get pretty decent range with LOS. Far enough that I couldn't see the quad with my bare eye (I was testing the range and knew how to get back if it cut out). Trees and obstructions do significantly limit the range though.

Show us how you mounted your UHF Rcvr in the Phantom.
Did you use the Buss connection to connect to the Naza or individually connect the channels?

Also what UHF Transmitter did you use?

Are your flights now distance limited by the 5.8 Ghz Video Trxr

Lego Camera Mount

Was looking around the house racking my brain for goods to create a make shift anti-vibration mount of some type. Then I saw them in my sons room -- LEGOS!!!!!

My goal was to try and create points of separation with different material (like velcro, moongel, sorbathane). I figure that different material will accept vibration at different rates, so using several might help. The original design was a 2 axis gimbal, but it was terribly wobbly. It swayed an unacceptable amount.

That said, the moongel drum dapners really helped. I doubled them up beneath the gopro and also smashed them between the mount and the phantom.

Still not happy with some of the vibrations I'm getting. Maybe I'll try changing out the props as Tony mentioned. Also, I'd like to get or build a 2 axis mount, but time is short...
