Here is replica of one old model that was in stores in mid 80's in eastern Europe. It was manufactured by Czeh company Igra, the kit was rubber band free flight model with wingspan of 23.6". I was 10 years old when I put this kit together and had lots of fun. Recently i come up with the original plan of the model and decided to build it for the sake of the old times. I went for enlarged replica (twice the original size), redesign the entire plan keeping only the general outlines. 3 weeks after receiving the laser cut sets of parts the model was in the air.
Wingspan is 48", AUW - 28 oz. It have option to be powered by electric motor or IC engine in 0.09 to 0.15 range. For first flight i chose the electric power - 140W motor is in use.
