say $20 and wait. If they get smart advise them you are turning over the number and text messages to the Cobb Police, and there are lost property laws protecting your property.

O.C.G.A. 16-8-6 (2010)
16-8-6. Theft of lost or mislaid property
A person commits the offense of theft of lost or mislaid property when he comes into control of property that he knows or learns to have been lost or mislaid and appropriates the property to his own use without first taking reasonable measures to restore the property to the owner.

Right - but he can sell the GoPro and make $200 in a day or less. Make it worth the guys effort. He clearly doesn't know what to do with it - and as soon as he goes to Hobbytown K'saw with it they will call me as soon as they see FPV gear on it.

To take the guy to court is gonna cost more than the rig is worth.

No response from the request to call me but a .99 cent reverse lookup revealed him to be a 24 year old guy who lives in Austell with an address and the names of relatives. We shall see what happens.

Called the number, he picked up: "Trenton?" "Uhh yeah...." "Hey, it's Justin - man I'm so glad you found my quad..."

And so hopefully we will be meeting up later today or tomorrow to pick up the quad.

Flight path & where it ended up

Based on where the guy said he found it, it appears that it landed behind the Sprint building approximately 1660 meters from the launch point and in alomost the opposite direction from where I've been looking.

Picking it up at 5PM in the parking lot of Chik-fil-A on Chastain road in Kennesaw. Free milkshakes to anybody who wants to be there to witness the reunion :-)

I glad you got it back! I'd say $50 is a nice sounding number that should make him happy for his dumb luck.
