Hi Charlie, after looking at some other big boat builds, looks like the thing to do is use blocks at the bow, that bull nose shape is what were after and No Way can I get that with planks to the cutwater ( see pic, Tinknocker's scratch built Cat, THAT is the shape I am after )
Likely go with solid sheets from stern as far as possible then diagonal planks up to the blocks. First I think I better do some planning of rudder tube/stuffing tube positioning while that area is unplanked. Never set up a twin motor model before so I will need to study what others have done ( and have had success )WIDE open to suggestions ! |
