My hope is that they will fix it. Worst case I'm buying a new head. The muffler was still movable, a 1/4 turn later and pop. Not sure if it was me or a defect

I have to admit, I am a bit angry. Angry because I was an hours work from completing this hangar 9 p-47 I've been working on.

Upgraded to eflite retracts, robostruts, new wheels, had to make new wheel pans, moved servos from rear to inside on custom tray, fit a 16 oz dubro tank. I was almost done...

I'm sure they will fix it, but I doubt it will be for free.

You were installing an aftermarket product. They may not want to warrant the engine because of this.

I understand your frustration. You are so close, but yet so far.

Muffler was aftermarket, the 90 degree adapter wasn't. I really think it was a defect in the head as the adapter should have broken before the head.

I'd think they'd stand behind it since it will be pretty obvious that the engine has not been run. It's got to be a defect in the casting, no way you should have been able to break the threads like that..... Shoo

You should be in good shape, then.

Looks like they fixed it free of charge. Just checked the status and it was assigned to a tech this morning and an hour later it was ready to ship. Can't complain.

I have used the Horizon warranty dept a few times and I am nothing less than satisfied. They are #1 in my book and hence the reason I stay away from Hobby King and others that are Chineese based companies. If that was an ASP or Magnum you would be buying a new one and fixing it yourself.

I have always done my own Saitorepairs, even warranty related.

Once I communicated the exact issue W/the tech they always sent me replacement parts.

One time I had to send them PIX, but still always great customer service.
