Thanks for the links !
An EDF would be really cool and i have a 30mm im not using but for now this is just to see if this works. I would like to make a larger scale X-49 80mm edf since this is so easy to build.

I took it for its maiden today and it flew right out of my hands and up into a tree
Second try went much better i flew it for a few minutes getting a feel for what it can do and cant and its very stable and rolls super fast but it doesnt pitch up well i think that mostly due to it being nose heavy tommaro ill move the battery back and see what happens. If this plane last threw wedsday ill give it a paint job and a canopy i hate the lipo being ontop like it is
I'll try and get my brother to tape a video of it flying!

These are pics after the maiden and some repairs

Can you get the battery between the wings,I bet it will make a big difference to how it flys.
Try to stiffen up the control surfaces,a wire linkage between would be better.

Its alittle to wide but it could i didnt know where the CG would be thats why its on the top but when or if i ever build another one i would put it between the wings.
I'll do carbon wire linkages next time this is working out pretty good the plane is so light 56gr with lipo the foam is holding up fine.

Lol what show is that from?

This plane is pretty triky to get flying but when it up its up and easy to fly. I think the best way to take off is full throttle and throw it up at a 60degrees.

Maybe it's a perspective thing but the gap between the wings looks a little too small. It should be slightly bigger than the chord of your wings. I'd increase it by about half an inch or so.
