I'm starting a F800 M6 Build

F800 M6
RCTimer HP 4114 350 kV motors
ArduFlyer 2.5 915 Mhz Kit
Turnigy 9xr with UHF Orange LRS Tx / Rx 8 Channel
CM301 High Precision Gimbal

I'll incorporate the best methods into this build to assist other builders

First things First:

Never drill into the main center section to mount sensors, flight controllers or camera mount....these frames have positive and negative pathways for built-in power distribution and are directly connected to your Lipo Battery

Vibration is the root of all evil...take the time to balance your props properly.

Buy a Digital Voltage Meter....even cheap versions work well...check your connections for Continuity and or Voltage before final connections...doing this will help prevent Magic Smoke

Before doing anything with power....READ THIS FIRST!!!!

Could you outline some of the differences between that and the S800?
I did not see on the web site which props it is using - 15" x ??
Are they the same as the S800, interchangeable? Or would I have to use the RCTimer props for replacement?
I would like to use a Naza or WKG FC - any comments on this?
Do you have a recomended battery/batteries for this?
Does the CM301 have its own controller or will it work off the Naza/WKG OK?
Finally - what is the delivery time on these in the US?

Hey Mark,

I can't comment regarding the DJI S800...cause I've never been around one.

Regarding Flight Controllers.... that's up to you...the F800 will fly with any controller your little heart desires... My favorites are OpenPilot and ArduFlyer for different reasons. The standard Props are15 x 5 but, the 4114 350kV can handle larger....on 6S....some guys buy high milliamp 3S lipos and connect in series giving you 6S power.....the motors have "clamp" type prop adapter...and require, inline 3 hole, flat prop hubs... Most guys get excellent performance with the standard props. I receive shipments every 6-10 days. Due to the rapid popularity.. I will begin stocking the F800 M6 , CM301 and the F800 M8 in April.....Shipping from me...coast to coast 2-4 days...usually 3

My new F800 ( recieved Monday ) has 2 red and 4 green ESCs. I like it!

Hi Mark, I am using the Naza + GPS on mine and it's working very well. I'm using a 6S 5,000 battery so far and getting some real good flight times out of it.

The 800 with Naza GPS (0 min 54 sec)

~There isn't much difference between the 2. Now, the DJI does have a plug on the platform where the RCT does not.
~Props are the same.
~Yes, They are interchangeable parts. Is one better than the other? I don't think so.
~The Naza is A LOT cheaper than the WKG as there is only 2 main parts as the WKG has 3. I do think that the WKG is better because it has a separate gyro system. I DO have both and I DO like the WKG better.
~I use 4S 5000mah.
