Great idea with the swappable LED canopy for the blingless "weight savers" , more options the better.

It can only get better If/when WL quietly releases an updated firmware RX from an already impressive "self leveling" code likely based on using/compar data from the ACC(simplified) possibly like KK2 fw1.4 does it.
Reading all your praises of it... I was wondering why you liked the "odd model" V202 so much?? I am seeing why now... but seriously thought you were needing a Vaca. there for awhiles!

my quad budget is 3wks away... so I'll be keeping a look-out for the "Rise of Frankenquad" and if only in limited no. "Dibs" !!

Well I loved Frankenquad I so much I figured with all the Hubsan Hybrids that I'd give the X4 board another chance:







I'll be bringing this to Sunday's quad fest to let the crew try it out. It flies OK. I still like Frankenquad 1 much better.

Just came back from an outside flight. Like Stoncutter's hybrid X4 on a V202 frame the X4-H36 hybrid is very slow.

We'll be flying with gloves on.

Looking forward to trying this one Sunday as I have been debating doing the same thing. As of right now I will be there, unless something comes up between now and then.

MO, any news on releasing FQ1 for sale?

I can wire the LEDs, and iirc I should be able to use the button on the Tx to turn them on/off. Is that correct?

Hey Jason. I was hoping this week's H36 parts order would have motor plugs, but unfortunately they didn't. That being said, if you're willing to solder, you can make the FQ1 yourself if you already own the V202:

which mini multirotor RX PCBs are natively supported by Turnigys 9X TX? is there a list here on rcgroups? I didnīt find any. there is so much information flaoting around here (threads with more than 150 pages, pooh!) that you can lose track of all the needed information.

Minis are the Syma X1 and the WL Toys 929\949\959 boards. Micros are the V939, H36, and I'm not too sure about the UDI. There may be more, but that's a start.

Instead of using h36 motor, you may consider using udi motor. It has plugs by default and cheaper than other (banggood and sunsky).
But it doesnt have motor protection and i have broke one motor on hard upside down crash before i put cotton but mod.
