Free and easy-to-use 2D CAD Software?

Hi,

I have recently started designing a new airplane. Actually I am a paper and pencil guy, but when there's more complicated things to be drawn like parabolic forms I would like to use an easy to use and free CAD software. I don't need 3D stuff but I need to draw simple plywood pieces based on at least 1mm or .1mm precision and be able to get a good result when I print it. That's all.

Any suggestions?

Stefan

Try Draftsight. It's a full featured 2d program capable of some 3d. 2d is pretty simple, so is the 3d for that matter.

"Easy to use" and "CAD software" don't often appear together in the same sentence...

If you find, one, let us know!

As I am a Mac addict, I keep my focus on software which runs natively on this platform, but I'm not limited to using these, because I can also run others under Parallels/Windows, as I do with Profili and others. As for Mac OS I found EazyDraw very easy to handle and powerful enough for my tasks.
